There are activities available close by that will interest almost anyone.  Swimming, tennis, golf, fishing, surfing, boogey boarding, parasailing, jet skiing, biking, hiking, and horseback riding are all available nearby. Fine dining, live theater, movie theaters, majic shows, and art galeries abound.

On the way to Haleakala National Park be sure and visit Kula which is the center of flower growing on Maui.  There are numerous stands beside the road where you can purchase flowers at extremely reasonable prices.
